BIO

Laurent Genet has held a variety of senior management positions in Europe and Asia related to livestock and aquaculture nutrition, animal health, and farming since 1991.

Earlier in his career Laurent worked internationally for the largest French animal feed producer before joining Nutreco in 2007.

Laurent has been living and managing businesses for fifteen years in Asia (Indonesia, Vietnam, Hong Kong with business experience in most Asian countries). He relocated to the Netherlands in 2015 and is now based in France.

He served four years on the Management Board of Nutreco as Chief Strategy Officer overseeing the strategy of the company, mergers & acquisitions as well as strategic innovation and corporate venturing before stepping down at the end of 2022.

He established in 2017 NuFrontiers, the venturing arm of Nutreco, sitting on the board of startups and later NutEx, the Nutreco feed additives discovery unit.

He is a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine. Laurent also studied at both the London Business School in the UK, and Affärshögskolan in Norway from which he earned qualifications in business management.
