Laurent Genet

Laurent Genet brings over 30 years of executive experience in livestock, aquaculture, and animal health, with a focus on nutrition, farming, and strategic growth across Europe, Asia and most producing geographies.

Laurent began his career with France’s largest animal feed producer, managing international operations, before joining Nutreco in 2007. During 15 years in Asia—based in Indonesia, Vietnam, and Hong Kong—he gained extensive expertise across the region. Relocating to the Netherlands in 2015, Laurent served as Nutreco’s Chief Strategy Officer, where he led corporate strategy, mergers and acquisitions, strategic innovation, and corporate venturing until 2022.

As part of his role at Nutreco, Laurent founded NuFrontiers, the company’s corporate venturing arm, and established Nutreco Exploration, its feed additives discovery unit, while also serving on the boards of several startups. A Doctor of Veterinary Medicine, Laurent has complemented his technical expertise with advanced business management qualifications from the London Business School and Affärshögskolan in Norway.
